ABOUT ABOUT

Help those in need!  As you know, this hurricane season has been the worst in history, devistating parts of Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.  Hundreds of thousands of people lost their homes, and are still without electricity, running water, or food.  The Reading Terminal Market family wants to help, and the thing we know best is how to feed people.

Join us for a dinner to benefit Feeding America and The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands.  This sit-down dinner will include dishes representing the regions affected by the hurricanes, all sourced and prepared by our merchants and Chef Tess, executive chef of City Kitchen.

Reading Terminal Market is one of the most culturally diverse public spaces in America, yet we stay true to our Philadelphia flavors and support local farmers, butchers, cheese-makers, and small family run businesses.  Our mission is all about sharing Philadelphia's rich food culture with the world.  The areas working hard to recover from storm damage and flooding are also important in the history of American culture and cuisine.  Our dinner event will be highlighting the flavors and cooking methods of Texas, Louisiana, Gulf Coast seafood, and Caribbean island cuisine.  It is our hope that by assisting in relief efforts,we can support the continuation of these unique food cultures across our country.
